Wednesday 16 April 2008 @ 4:27 pm

Anti-aging skin care tips often focus on how to look more youthful, with good reason.

The outer surface of your body is constantly exposed to elements that cause premature aging, including sun and wind, environmental pollution, and inadequate moisturizing.

Anti-Aging is also about having a strong mind and healthy body.

Anti-aging creams have not been proven to cause permanent or strongly positive effects, however many anti-aging cream users have found that they can produce a subtle positive effect for a period of time.

You should not think that anti-aging creams are a cure for wrinkle, but they can “Make You Look Younger” and are less expensive and invasive than surgery.

Facial Wrinkle Tips 101

Facial Wrinkles Causes And Cures

What causes facial wrinkles? Of course the #1 culprit behind fine lines and wrinkles is the sun and its skin damaging UV rays. Other contributing factors come naturally with age as our bodies produce less elasticin and collagen. In addition, we undergo cumulative stress and hormonal changes.

It gets more difficult to hydrate ourselves and free radicals damage the outermost layers of skin. Skin tightening and deep wrinkles can get us down, but the good news is that we don’t have to wield a celebrity income to take years off our looks. There are many anti wrinkle creams and procedures to combat an aging wrinkle or two.

A new Good Skin Labs product developed in Europe called Tri-Aktiline has done very well in recent clinical trials. Data shows that 68% of the women noticed an immediate filling of facial wrinkles and 83% reported significant improvements within a month. The formula is especially designed to remove deeper wrinkles, but smoothes the skin enough to erase crow’s feet and fine lines.

Developers realized that human skin is the largest repository of stem cells in the body and created a line of wrinkle creams that instantly became a celebrity favorite. Dremu Skin Care products first picked up steam in Australia and have become a huge hit in America, thanks to numerous trade shows and celebrity endorsements by notable figures like supermodel Tyra Banks and actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Ponce de Leon may not have found the fabled fountain of youth in Florida back in 1513, but plastic surgeons are convinced they’ve found a viable solution for people whose biggest fear is aging. Collagen injections have become the wave of the future, empowering people to live more confidently; whether it’s a lip injection, a scar cover-up, a complement to one’s face lift, or a cure-all for troublesome wrinkles. Thousands of injections are done each year to restore the skin’s elasticity and peoples’ peace of mind.

Collagen injections have been used cosmetically since 1981 to treat facial skin imperfections associated with aging or to create enhanced, fuller lips. There are also medical uses that restore joint mobility, accompany facial reconstruction or treat severe burns. Collagen itself is a naturally occurring protein located beneath the epidermis that comprises 75% of our skin and is the basis for our skin’s support structure. Over time, it generally breaks down, resulting in lines and wrinkles. Done in just a few hours, injections are one of the most popular wrinkle treatments out there.

There are 27 different types of naturally-occurring collagen in the body. More specifically, collagen is a protein found in bone, cartilage, skin tissue and tendons. As we age, our collagen breaks down, causing the skin to lose its elasticity and moisture, which manifests itself as dreaded lines and wrinkles or sagging skin that we’d rather avoid. Collagen injections are favored because it is a natural protein, so few side effects are encountered, compared to other cosmetic procedures.

Doctors use either bovine-based or human-based collagen that has undergone a purification process. The anesthesia Lidocaine is mixed in with the collagen so patients don’t feel a thing. After 30 to 60 minutes, the procedure is done and the patient is free to go. Results show up once the swelling goes down. Cosmetic surgery is not covered under health insurance plans, but most surgeons offer financing plans for any budget. Compared to Botox injections, collagen is more flexible and is said to be much more natural looking.

Wrinkle Cream Tip: Why Are Some Wrinkle Creams Better Than Others

Thursday 14 February 2008 @ 1:31 am

Article : Wrinkle Creams

The best wrinkle cream, in my opinion, is a water-based cream. There are several on the market that promise firmer, tighter, skin, but they leave such a residue on skin, hands, and often stain clothes that I would never want to use them.

A water-based wrinkle cream is the best wrinkle cream because the skin more readily absorbs it. Oil-based creams may appear to make the skin soft, but they also trap dirt in the pores and can increase acne with use. Water-based creams also do not leave the oily residue, which is often the case with the other types of creams.

As far as anti aging skin care creams go, I think they are nothing but a marketing ploy for the egocentric consumer. Any skin care cream is an anti aging skin care cream - a label is just for marketing when they add phrases like “anti aging.” Fully hydrated skin looks healthier and, as a result, makes the user appear younger.

So, why do some wrinkle creams work better than others? We’ve found out it certainly isn’t the price! As mentioned earlier, water-based creams are more easily absorbed by the skin, so they are able to penetrate to the deepest layers of the skin providing longer-lasting hydration and repairing skin damage. Why wouldn’t a water-based cream work best? After all, our bodies are mostly water to start with.

It can be called wrinkle cream, anti-aging cream, or the fountain of youth, but the bottom line is that skin cream is skin cream. And while water-based creams absorb better initially, they cost a lot more and really aren’t much more effective than a good hand lotion you buy at the grocery store.

Healthy skin is happy skin. It is resistant to disease, as the skin is the primary barrier against disease transmission. Healthy skin is resistant to cracking in cold weather and does not tear as easily, reducing injuries to the occasional mechanic or weekend carpenter. This is because the skin is more pliant; it will simply push in rather than break and cause the nicks and scrapes that so often result when doing the above-mentioned activities.

Why are some wrinkle creams better than others? The additives that are in creams provide benefits to the skin. Aloe provides softer skin because it penetrates more deeply into the skin and results in healthier skin that is more likely to retain moisture. With some of the creams that contain alcohol (so they do not leave a residue), they actually dehydrate the skin and cause more harm than good.

I think the best cream is a hypoallergenic, water-based cream. It will not cause any allergic reactions to those with sensitive skin, it will absorb more rapidly into the skin, and it will not leave an oily residue. The first application might take awhile, as the skin will continue to absorb the cream until it is fully hydrated. Subsequent applications will be much less, as a person will have reached the maintenance stage and will only need to keep the hydration levels up, rather than build them up. The results are amazing.

Look Younger Tip: Wrinkle Creams - The Final Frontier

Wednesday 13 February 2008 @ 6:30 pm

Wrinkle Cream Article

“A mirror never lies” goes a famous saying. You can apply different types of make-up to cover those wrinkles, but when you wash your face in the night before going to sleep and stand in front of the mirror, the truth becomes evident. Someone has rightly said that one can cheat everyone but not himself.

Throughout a woman’s life, appearance is extremely important. In grade school, it was about the prettiest smile and cutest person, but as high school and college was concerned, the standard got higher. Suddenly a cute smile and nice teeth wasn’t enough, as everyone starting looking at skin quality to separate classes of beauty.

Even after school, a woman’s appearance is critical. When was the last time you saw someone with wrinkly skin and bags under their eyes on any commercial other than a sleeping aid? Exactlynever! Woman must take care of their skin, and society enforces this is beauty pageants, talent shows, etc. But do wrinkle creams provide the miracle cures that we see on TV?

Flip through the TV shopping channels, or pick up an add from almost any department store or even drug stores. You will find an innumerable listing of wrinkle creams for all over the world. This makes it a difficult task to pick the right one for you.

Starting with the basics, the skin has certain needs that the body can stop fulfilling as we age. Two important proteins are Elastin and Collagen, which we’ve all heard about. As the skin is starved of these elements, it will start to dry and wrinkle.

When selecting a wrinkle cream, you have to remember that your skin condition is what will define what you need and what will work. If you have a lot of sun damage, there are creams that target this in particular. If you tend to have dry skin, there are wrinkle creams that focus of moisturizing.

Read articles on ‘wrinkle creams’ before you purchase a particular anti-wrinkle product. Do not take decisions in haste. Your skin deserves the best. Hence, it is important to understand the anatomy of wrinkle creams. Wrinkle creams, in general, must have three ingredients- sunscreen, moisturizer and vitamin-E.

All of us have had sun damage, no matter how well we limit our outside exposure. All of us wish our skin was smother and better moisturized. And all of us want our skin to be healthy. So if the cream you’re looking at doesn’t address these basic issues, move on to the next choice. And give the results time to surface. While some wrinkle creams claim they can repair skin in days, it may take weeks or even months for yours to recover.

Do Wrinkle Creams Work: Let’s Find Out

Thursday 31 January 2008 @ 3:54 pm

By: Geoff Hopkins

Start Reversing The Effects Of Aging With Wrinkle Cream…
It’s an old question: “Do Wrinkle Creams Work?” - that doesn’t really have a yes or no answer. For centuries women everywhere have wondered about the answer. It is irrefutable; wrinkle creams do their job.

However many of them do only part of that job, and have no effect on skin texture. Many wrinkle cream products have faithful fans all over the world, however there are also countless anti-wrinkle creams which are not popular at all because they just don’t work.

Good wrinkle creams have moisturizing properties which make the skin soft and supple. Such wrinkle creams contain constituents like collagen and other moisturizing oils. These constituents penetrate deep inside the skin and start reversing the effects of aging to some extent.

You can have an easier time answering the question “Do Wrinkle Creams Work” if you’re willing to investigate information about what makes a wrinkle cream, and what causes wrinkles to appear. You’re not realistic if what you expect from your wrinkle cream is immediate and lasting results after one application.

Some anti aging skin care products start showing their effects after only a few days, while others may take weeks or even months to bring the slightest change. The proverbial saying “Patience always pays” is apt in this context. However, it would be wise to opt for those anti-wrinkle creams which suit your skin-type.

You can also share your personal experiences (about a particular wrinkle cream) with your friends. This way you can increase your knowledge about wrinkle creams. There is no shortage of wrinkle creams in the world today; hundreds of cosmetic companies are investing into the segment of wrinkle creams.

When it comes down to it, an effective anti-wrinkle product has to be right for your skin, should not have side effects and you should be able to afford it. It wouldn’t hurt, as well, to read as much literature as you can in order to know as much as you can about wrinkles and wrinkle creams.

Do Wrinkle Creams Work? They might work if they suit your skin. At the same time, they might be useless if they are not meant for your skin-type. Only a dermatologist can tell you which anti aging skin care product is best for you.

The Right Wrinkle Cream For Your Skin

Thursday 24 January 2008 @ 4:34 pm

By: Geoff Hopkins

It’s really important to get the right kind of anti-wrinkle cream for your skin type. Read lots of reviews, certainly, because they are a good place to start looking for the right kind. But if you have oily skin (like me), they can make your skin even shinier, or if you have dry skin, you might still get white flaking. So getting the right one, is important.

Anti-wrinkle creams and even sunscreens can make your skin feel oily, to the point that you might not want to even wear them - which is a bad thing, because then you wind up getting sunburned, and that’s even worse for your skin! I found that even ones that were made for oily skin made my skin feel and look shiny and slippery.

Then, I read a magazine article that suggesting using serums for oily skin, rather than traditional anti-wrinkle cream. I decided to try it, and to my surprise, I really, really like it! It’s not terribly expensive, and it makes my skin feel soft and moisturized, and not in the least bit oily. I use it twice a day, morning and night, and it made a huge difference, even after just a few days. It’s easier to apply makeup, and it stays on better, and in the morning, my sleep lines are way less noticeable.

The serum I discovered happened to be a cheaper one, only $11 per bottle. Others range from $50 to $90 per bottle. I saw a premium serum for $115 on the internet. I don’t know if it worth the price, though, because I couldn’t bring myself to spend that much.

Serums are great for me, but might not work at all for others, so experiment with different creams or serums. Wrinkle creams should fit your skin type. A friend of mine has such dry skin that those special oil-absorbing pads come away from her face dry. When I use them, I saturate two of them (much better than when I was younger - then I used 3!) So no two people’s needs will be the same.

Someone with really dry skin, might need to supplement their anti-wrinkle cream or serum with a good moisturizing cream. Look for lotions that include Sandalwood or Ylang-Ylang, or even Lavender or Chamomile. Colloidal oatmeal might work as well.

Also, be sure to get lots of sleep, drink lots of water, and get plenty of exercise. Your skin repairs itself most efficiently during sleep. Exercise boosts blood circulation, which aids in the repair of cells, and lots of water helps to flush toxins out of your body. Eat a good diet with lots of vegetables. There are lots of other tips available online, and in your library. Do a bit of research, and you’ll find many more good ones.

Your skin is the very first thin a person notices when they meet you. A healthy-looking person is more likely to meet and make friends. Friendships, as well as keeping yourself healthy (which also keeps your skin healthy) help lead to a longer, healthier life. I really wish I’d learned my lesson when I was younger, and protected my skin earlier in life, but it’s never too late to start taking better care of yourself. So find the right anti-wrinkle cream for your skin!

Choose Wrinkle Cream Wisely

Friday 18 January 2008 @ 4:09 pm

Over the years thousands of people have used wrinkle creams to help them fight the aging process. The creams they used were virtually worthless in eliminating wrinkles. There were oils in them that made the skin feel softer, and users felt good because they thought they were actually doing something to help themselves look younger.

Things have changed now because of extensive research and development. Scientists today have a better understanding of the foundation and dynamics of aging of the skin. If you want the best wrinkle cream you need one of the new products that go below the skin surface.

Now so many new products are being produced that actually do cause younger-looking skin that it’s difficult to decide which one is best for you. Read on to learn ways you can use to find that perfect wrinkle cream.

As you can imagine, different creams produce different results depending on skin type. For example, one person might use a particular cream and see fabulous results in only two weeks. Another person using the same cream might have to use it daily for several weeks before any results become visible.

If you read the packaging on wrinkle creams and other anti-aging products, you’ll find that they all promise you fewer wrinkles and younger-looking skin. However, because of the different results each cream produces on different individuals, you need to look at the ingredients in a cream to know what’s actually going to work best.

Vitamin E is vital in the healing of skin tissues and also is an antioxidant. Collagen enhances elasticity of skin. This reduces the number of wrinkles caused by aging. Hyaluronan acid, also called hyaluronic acid or hyaluronate, is used in skin care for it’s moisturizing effect. It is also used to reduce the number wrinkles in the face.

Before trying any product on your face, make sure that you’re familiar with all of the components in it. Read the labels, and if you find any unknown substances, talk to your pharmacist or doctor about them before use.

After purchasing the anti-wrinkle cream you feel is best for you, make sure to read the label and follow the directions for use. Try the cream for awhile. If after this trial period it produces poor results or none at all, there are always plenty of other products to try.

Getting The Best Wrinkle Cream For The Best Price

Friday 18 January 2008 @ 4:06 pm

By: Geoff Hopkins, 2008-01-15

The rich have always had the best access to anti-aging treatments. But modern chemistry has significantly brought down the price of manufacture. These days you can find excellent products at your local market or discount store.

Some of the highest quality, but low price wrinkle creams can be found in discount beauty supply outlets. Discount stores that sell clothing and house-ware items are also expanding their beauty offerings from perfumes and body washes to exclusive skin care lines with some of the best wrinkle creams on the market for only a fraction of the price found elsewhere.

Outside of department stores non-prescription wrinkle creams can be found from $4.95 to $25. You may be able to find it cheaper on the internet, but those tend to be bulk deals forcing you to buy a large number of smaller containers.

The ingredients will also influence the price. Some are made with wrinkle treating drugs that were recently prescription products. These days many brands are using these drugs in even their most affordable products. But, be care to avoid anything sold as a “Regime”. The additional products are often unnecessary, when a single product will do the job.

Retinol is used in creams to increase the production of new skin cells. Those fighting with acne may find these to be the best products. Salicylic acid is also used for both acne and wrinkles and can be found starting at $15

Creams that peel off a layer of skin are very long lasting a generally affordable. They tend to range around $10. You should see AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) on the label. But, be careful if you have sensitive skin. This can cause redness and irritation.

Some wrinkle creams offer purely superficial coverage. Filler type creams claim to hide those ugly creases in your skin by filling them in. Skin plumpers puff up the various layers of the skin, making it appear smoother. There’s a wide price range for these products, from $5 to $20.

Which ever cream you pick, it’s wasted effort if your skin is damaged additionally by the sun. Worse, some of these products can increase the skin’s sensitivity to solar radiation. Make sure to look for products with UVA and UVB protection. An SPF of 15 of above is recommended in combination with a moisturizing formula.
